Building a better future....That's Valu Home Centers commitment to the community. As part of that commitment, Valu is collecting change for Kid's Escaping Drugs Renaissance Campus and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Look for the Make-A-Change canisters at each Valu checkout and donate your spare change. Your change can make a change! Thank you for your support.
We are proud to announce that we have completed another great year of raising money for charitable youth organizations with our Help Make-A-Change campaign. Our 9th campaign ran from February 17 to March 29, 2008. During this time we asked our customers to donate their pocket change to help the children in their communities. Their generosity raised more the $60,000. 100% of all proceeds collected will go directly to the worthwhile organization in the community where it was donated. Our 9 year total is now over $460,000!

2008 Kids Escaping Drugs Telethon
In Western New York, money was collected for Kids Escaping Drugs Renaissance Campus. This is the only W.N.Y. area residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for children age 12 through 21. Valu Home Centers' donation is a vital service to our local kids in their quest to become drug and alcohol free. Our Central New York and Northwest Pennsylvania customers donated their money to the Make-A-Wish foundation. The money collected went toward granting the wish of a local child with a life-threatening illness; in each of the community where the money was collected.
